These codes benefit both home builders and buyers, because they reinforce best practice and ensure that the level of information and customer service we provide is always of the highest quality. They ensure that new home buyers are treated fairly and are kept fully informed about their purchase before and after they sign the contract.

An updated version of the New Homes Quality Code comes into effect on 2 March 2026.

Customers who reserve a home:

  • on or before 1 March 2026 will continue to be covered by the original New Homes Quality Code
  • from 2 March 2026 will be covered by the updated New Homes Quality Code

NEW HOMES QUALITY CODE


The New Homes Quality Code is the code of practice of the housebuilding industry that aims to drive up the quality of new build homes and strengthen protections for customers.
